Refund & Cancellation Policy
Overview
AFPL Welfare is a registered non-governmental organisation (NGO) in India committed to social upliftment and community development. We deeply value every contribution made by our donors and supporters. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds or cancellations may be processed for donations and contributions made through our website, payment gateways, or any other authorised payment platforms. By making a donation, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described in this policy.
Eligibility for Refunds
Refund requests may be considered under the following circumstances:

- The donor was charged more than once for the same donation due to a technical error or payment gateway malfunction.
- An incorrect amount was debited from the donor's account that differs from the intended donation amount.
- The transaction was carried out without the donor's authorisation or as a result of fraudulent activity on the donor's payment instrument.
- The donor made a genuine error while entering the donation amount, provided the request is raised within the eligible timeframe.
Refund Process
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to afplwelfare@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include your full name, contact number, transaction ID or payment reference number, the date of the transaction, and the amount for which you are seeking a refund.
- Provide a brief explanation of the reason for your refund request along with any supporting documentation such as bank statements or screenshots of the transaction.
- Our team will review your request and may reach out to you for additional information if necessary.
All refund requests must be submitted within 15 days of the original transaction date. Requests received after this period may not be entertained.
Processing Timeline
Once a valid refund request is received and approved, the refund will be processed within 7 to 10 business days. The refunded amount will be credited back to the original payment method used for the donation. Please note that the actual time for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. AFPL Welfare is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions or payment gateways.
Non-Refundable Donations
The following types of donations are generally non-refundable:
- Donations made voluntarily and successfully processed without any technical or transactional errors.
- Contributions made towards specific campaigns, fundraisers, or events that have already been utilised for the stated cause.
- Donations for which tax-exemption receipts (under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961) have already been issued.
- In-kind donations, goods, or services contributed to the organisation.
Cancellation of Recurring Donations
If you have set up a recurring donation and wish to cancel it, you may do so at any time by contacting us via email at afplwelfare@gmail.com or by calling us at +91 7865075672. Please provide your name, registered email address, and the details of your recurring donation so that we can locate and cancel it promptly. Cancellation of recurring donations will take effect from the next billing cycle. Any donations already processed before the cancellation request will not be refunded unless they meet the eligibility criteria outlined above.
Exceptions
AFPL Welfare reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis at its sole discretion. In extraordinary circumstances such as a medical emergency, financial hardship, or any other compelling reason, the organisation may consider refund requests that fall outside the standard eligibility criteria. Such decisions will be made by the management team and communicated to the donor in writing. The organisation also reserves the right to amend or update this policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be reflected on this page with the updated effective date.
