About AFPL Welfare Foundation
AFPL Welfare Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation rooted in the heart of Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal. Founded with the conviction that every individual deserves access to basic necessities and equal opportunity, we work at the grassroots level to uplift underserved communities across rural India. Our programmes span food security, education, healthcare, financial literacy, and women's empowerment, reaching thousands of families who need support the most.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create lasting, measurable change in the lives of marginalised communities by addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality. We believe that sustainable development begins when people are empowered with nutritious food, quality education, accessible healthcare, and the financial tools to build independent livelihoods. Through targeted interventions and community-led initiatives, AFPL Welfare strives to break the cycle of deprivation for current and future generations.
Our Vision
We envision a society where no family goes hungry, every child has the chance to learn, and every woman has the freedom to pursue her aspirations without barriers. AFPL Welfare Foundation is working toward a future in which rural communities across India are self-reliant, healthy, and thriving — where dignity and opportunity are not privileges but fundamental rights enjoyed by all.
Our History
AFPL Welfare Foundation grew out of a small group of dedicated volunteers in Uttar Dinajpur who witnessed first-hand the challenges faced by families in their region — from chronic hunger and lack of clean drinking water to limited access to schools and medical facilities. What began as neighbourhood food drives and tutoring sessions soon expanded into a formally registered organisation with structured programmes and partnerships. Today, we operate across multiple districts and continue to scale our impact while staying true to our community-first approach.
